This Fantasy Art Gallery is still small but will be growing. Fantasy art involves an element of non-reality depicted in a way meant to convince the viewer of the veracity of what they are seeing. Mythological creatures such as dragons and fairies are features in fantasy art works, as well as aliens in the crossover of science fiction fantasy. Colors are often bold and sweet with the color regions clearly defined. That is not to say that an art work with a dark and murky color scheme can't be considered fantasy art. That conclusion can still be reached based on the topic or intent of the subject matter within the art work.
