Description: Artist executed print using Epson pigmented inks and archival paper to create a beautiful museum quality print. A perfect blossom of a brilliant orange day lily, photographed in light shade. Strong contrast of the intense orange against cooler background shades. Day lilies are so named because a fresh bud opens in the morning and begins to die late in the afternoon. The next morning a new bud opens repeating the cycle of renewal until all the buds on the flower shoot are spent. You can see a bud, for the next day's blossom between the upper and lower flowers. Also visible are four scabs of spent flowers on a stem arching through the lower right of the image.
